Troubleshooting Tips

The app is running slowly or crashing (iOS)

The MapQuest app processes information every time you route, and saving that data can sometimes cause slow-downs and loading issues. So if that's the case, we recommend closing your app and trying again. 

To completely close your app:

  1. Double-tap the home button on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Swipe up to close MapQuest
  3. Re-open the app

That should help, but if it doesn't, please restart your phone and try again!

Can't find my current location (iOS)

If we're not finding your current location correctly, you will want to check that your Location Services are enabled on your device and that MapQuest has permission to use them.

To do this, simply go to your device's Settings, choose Privacy, then Location Services. From here, you'll want to make sure that Location Services are ON for both your device and MapQuest.

How to disable app notifications (iOS)

Not a fan of notifications? Don't sweat it. Here are steps to disable them:

  1. Go to your device's Settings
  2. Tap Sounds and Notifications
  3. Tap App Notification

And from here, you can change your notification settings for our app or any others you have installed.

Having trouble installing the app (iOS)

Some things don't always go as smooth as we want, and installing our app could be one of those. If you're having trouble downloading and installing our app, we recommend hard resetting your iOS device and trying again over WiFi.
