A fond farewell to open.mapquest.com

As of April 12, 2017, open.mapquest.com is no longer available.

Creating the most up-to-date and relevant mapping services is what gets us pumped. As much as we’d like to do everything, there’s always some give and take as we continually work to evaluate our offerings. That’s why we’ve decided to retire open.mapquest.com.

The passion we’ve seen from our open online cartography community is totally inspiring. That said, we encourage you to be on the lookout for future amazing product announcements.

If you have any questions, concerns or feedback about this change, please contact our Customer Experience team.

Best regards,

The MapQuest Team

We've Discontinued Travel Blogs

After two years of traveling the world and embarking on countless adventures with our users, the doors to Travel Blogs were closed on March 30, 2016 to allow us to focus on improving our core product, MapQuest, while beginning new adventures at Parachute, a site leveraging our contributor network to provide authentic, searchable and useful local content. We’re proud of the community of travelers and storytellers we have built over the years. And there’s still much to see and experience. We encourage you to keep the spirit of adventure alive.
